September, my favourite month of all, has come and gone yet again. Now I know I am a little biased saying it’s my favourite month due to mmm my birthday…but in spite of that, it’s the month where I start to feel motivated again. The sun starts to shine, the flowers come out, it is the perfect temperature and everyone seems a little happier. And with that, here are my five September favourites!
My first favourite has to be starting Kayla again. For those of you who have never heard of Kayla’s Bikini Body Guide, then you really must check it out. It is basically a 12week guide containing 28minute workouts, for 3 days a week. Sounds easy but trust me when I say you won’t be able to walk properly for a good 4 days after leg day. Anyway, this is a topic for a whole other post. Long story short, I started Kayla again and honestly it makes you feel better in every way. On the days I do my workout I have so much more energy and motivation. I have always loved sports and so I have loved getting back into exercising on a regular basis. I’m 4 weeks down… bring on the next 8!
As for my makeup favourites for September, I could not go past my beloved Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I have tried the Beauty Blender and well, call me controversial, but I really didn’t like it and quite frankly can’t see what all the hype is about. I love the whole concept of using a sponge to apply base products. It keeps everything looking fresh, and natural, as the sponge has the ability to really blend foundation into the skin, rather than leaving it sitting on top. I love the texture of the Real Techniques sponge and when you wet, leaving it to expand, prior to using it, it really does create the most beautiful finish. Oh and a bonus is that it makes putting on your makeup a little more fun and wayyyy quicker!
My second makeup favourite has to be the L’Oreal Glam Bronze Cushion De Soleil. Unfortunately it is yet to hit Australian shops, however, ever since I purchased it in London, I have literally used it every day. It gives your face an extremely natural bronzed glow, which is dewy and feels extremely hydrating. There is nothing muddy about this bronzer, and isn’t noticeable on the skin. It’s also has an amazing cooling sensation when you apply it. I must note that I don’t understand how anyone could use the little foam sponge applicator that it comes with. Instead I use the Real Techniques Contour Brush from the core collection, which works a treat!
This first style favourite will not come as a surprise for most of you, as I have featured something of the sorts in nearly every style post. It is of course a choker. I know this is a trend, but it is a trend I am most definitely behind. I think a choker can add such a difference to an outfit. My favourite choker of September has to be this silver one from Sportsgirl. The bohemian inspired style is right up my street. I love how it adds a touch of hardness to an outfit as well as beachy and girly vibes with the pattern on each circle. Sportsgirl in general has a fantastic range of chokers so I would definitely recommend checking them out.
My last and final favourite of the month are these Zara shoes. I bought this shoes from Brighton for an absolute steal of about 15 pounds, which is insane for such great quality, leather sandals. Every time I had some sort of event which required me to wear something a little more dressy than either sneakers of Birkenstocks, I would pull these out. The silver studding detail all over the sandal, gives a more dressy look to them. However, I don’t think they are limited to just special occasions. They are extremely comfortable and go with absolutely anything. I am particularly obsessed with black and silver accessories lately, in case you can’t tell.
Well there you have it…my top 5 favourites from September. Let me know what your favourites from the month were!
