When looking for a new foundation I am always drawn to those that claim to be dewy and luminous, but on this occasion I decided to branch out and try a matte foundation. After hearing fantastic things about the L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24hr-Matte Foundation from beauty blogger, Amelia Liana, I knew I wanted to give it a go.
Having used if for about 2 weeks straight, I can 100% say that I love this foundation. It creates a matte base but not one that is at all drying or dull. This foundation still manages to create a comfortable skin-like base, which is incredibly radiant, whilst at the same time, keeping shine away. Tick.
The product claims that it is a full coverage foundation that will last 24hrs…big call, I know! It may not last 24hours (I haven’t tried that as it makes me feel a little ill) but it will last a FULL day of work or uni (at least 12hours) without even using a primer. Despite being a medium to full coverage foundation, it feels incredibly natural on the skin and honestly, I don’t notice that I’m wearing it! Another tick.
I am able to achieve a natural, yet flawless look with the foundation and I could not recommend it enough. I have a combination of dry, oily and normal skin across my face, and this blends beautifully into the skin, in little time. Yet another tick. I use my Zoeva Face Shape (110) brush to buff and some what stipple this in, in areas where I require more coverage. Those of you with really dry skin stay away, but those with combination or oily skin will absolutely love this! I have to say it is not quite as good as a high end foundation but for a drugstore option it is pretty fantastic.
I have the shade 11 Vanilla, which happens to be the lightest shade available in Australia. It is a great match for me, but unfortunately, those with paler skin than me will struggle to find a match. Half tick?
Overall, I really love this foundation and give it about an 8/10.
