Woooah there…long time, no see! Sorry for the complete and utter lack of posts on my dear little site in what seems like forever. But let’s just say, I’m back and I’m not going anywhere this time.
So over my period of absence, I did actually do something rather exciting. In January, I went travelling across England and Germany. While I was away I saw some of the most incredible sites, but more importantly, I bought a lot of new makeup! And so the spark inside me has once again been ignited and once again I am back here to serve up your weekly dose of beauty, food and lifestyle.
Which now leads to me to the actual reason for this post…the beautiful existence of Barry M Nail Polishes. Having been given one as a gift from my friend, Tanya, about a year ago when she came back from her adventure to England, I knew these polishes were high on my list of things to buy whilst I was across the pond.
After entering Boots far too many times, I ended up with 4 polishes from the Gelly Hi-Shine (love the name) range. For a nail polish addict (some may say hoarder), such as myself, I think I did pretty well to restrain myself to just 4. So here they are, in all their beauty.
I picked up the shades Blueberry (440), Pomegranate (445), Huckleberry (439) and Lychee (446). It just so happened I was able to score a 2 for £6 deal on them, so they were reasonably cheap for a good nail polish option. Each colour goes on extremely opaque and is actually quite thick (in a good way). The brush isn’t too flash but it’s workable and definitely something I can look past as I love the formula too much not to. When using these nail polishes in combination with the Seche Vite topcoat that I also bought whilst in England, the polishes last a good 5 days on the nails without chipping and remarkably, also retain a beautiful shine. Overall, I love these nail polishes and wish I could buy them in Australia (if anyone knows somewhere I can buy them, let me know ASAP!).
Anyway, it feels great to be back and I’ll definitely be seeing you all soon in my next post!
