I don’t know about you, but when it comes to choosing my top products to take away with me on holiday, I find it a bit of a struggle! I’m jet setting off to Melbourne next week and today was the day I looked into my makeup collection and decided to narrow down the products that would be coming away with me. Some how I managed to get it down to one little makeup bag, so I’m pretty happy with my efforts, if I do say so myself!
First, the base… I could not go past my most recent purchase, the L’oreal True Match Foundation, which I will have a review up about soon (hint: I’m in love with it). My usual Stila Perfecting Concealer for blemishes and my Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer for under my eyes, also made the cut and was added to the bag. For setting powder I’ll be taking my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte Powder which is an all time favourite of mine. As for blush, I’ve thrown in my new Rimmel Blush in Pink Rose which is so dreamy and provides the perfect flush of colour to my cheeks. And of course I can’t leave out The Balm Mary-Lou Maniser as it is seriously the most perfect highlighter!
As for eyes, I found it pretty easy as I have literally been wearing the same eyeshadow look everyday. So, in my bag I have my Rimmel Eyeshadow Quad in 002 Smokey Brun, which is so small and perfect for travelling- oh and the shades are amazing! In addition to this, I have two Maybelline Colour Tattoos in the shades Bad to the Bronze and Barely Branded (which I use as an eyeshadow primer) and my Mac Eyeshadow in Phooof. For eyeliners, I have packed the Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner and Play Pencil Liner in dark brown. And, just incase I’m extremely tired while I’m away, I have put my Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Nude in my bag. As for mascara, I have gone with one of my all time favourite mascaras…the Maybelline The Rocket Mascara. In order to tame my brows I’ll be taking my Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in Hazel and my Maybelline Brow Drama to keep the hairs in place.
For lip products, I went for a range of shades and different formulas in order to cover all moods that I might be in. I went for my Nars Audacious Lipstick in Claudia, Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Shock and Revlon Just Bitten Kissable in 005 Crush for my bolds. For during the day when I wanted my perfect nude lipstick, I’ve packed Mac Patisserie Lipstick and Tanya Oh and I most definitely could not leave my Nuxe Rev De Miel at home, so in that goes too.
So there you have it… the contents of my travel makeup bag! What products make the cut for your travel makeup bag?
