Now, I don’t know about you, but I love to keep things simple on a Sunday. I don’t want to be spending hours, layering products onto my face. Honestly, if I’m not planning on leaving the house, I won’t put any makeup on but for those moments where I will be seen in public, I like to keep things simple. The aim: to make me look awake and let’s just say, a little more alive.
To begin the face revival, I use the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation (in 51). This is very light on the skin and is almost a tinted moisturiser, giving your skin that boost that it needs, whilst evening out your skin tone. It doesn’t have incredible blurring or camouflage power, but, to me, Sunday is a day to embrace those blemishes! This foundation combined with a big whack of the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer under the eyes and the Stila Perfecting Concealer on any large volcanoes that cannot be embraced no matter how hard you try, makes for the perfect base.
Now, to resuscitate my face and give it the life it needs, I use a swirl of all three colours in the Rimmel 3 in One Blush (001 Spring Flower). If you can’t tell from the photo, this is most definitely a golden oldie for me. I use this almost every day during the spring and summer months. It is beautifully subtle yet at the same time incredibly noticeable (I just confused you, didn’t I?). What I’m trying to say is, it’s a perfect flush of colour, perfect for this time of year for those living it up in the southern hemisphere. On my cheekbones I use a little bit of my all time favourite highlighter, The Balm Mary-Lou Miniser. Seriously, the people are right…this product is insane!
I neaten my brows using my usual Maybelline Brow Drama…you know the drill. Then for my eyes, I like to also keep it simple on a Sunday. I keep my liquid liner all tucked away to rest and use the Mayebelline Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded. I think this has quickly become one of my all time favourite eye shadows. This is a primer, shadow and all round beauty in one. Just using my ring finger, I put a swipe of this across my lids and add a small lashing of mascara (yes, I’m still loving the Maybelline Rocket Mascara), and boom, I’m done.
