Okay okay, so I may have gone a little bonkers yesterday and accidentally (maybe not) bought a lot of beauty bits and bobs. Oops. I may be feeling a little guilty now, but deep down I couldn’t be more excited. To be fair, the majority of things I bought have been on my list to buy for a good couple of months, but I guess the time came for me to finally bite the bullet. I was definitely feeling spendy yesterday!
My first stop was the beauty section at Topshop. Having never tried a thing from topshop makeup, I was pretty eager to get my hands on anything I could. In the end, an insanely beautiful blue nail polish (Buff, $11) and a bright coral coloured blush (Let Her Go, $15) were the only ones to make the cut of my beauty basket.
Next I hit up the newly discovered Asian beauty store, W Cosmetics. I’m not sure if many of you Australian readers have heard of this store, but basically it is every single amazing makeup brand from Asia in the one store. I ended up grabbing myself a dupe for the Mac217 brush by a brand called 3 Concept Eyes (brush #15, $13.95). I highly recommend checking this brand out! The eyeliners and eye shadows look amazing!
A shopping trip would most definitely not be complete without entering the golden doors of Mecca Cosmetica. This is basically the Australia version of Sephora (although, it’s not quite as good). After much constraint, I managed to only buy one thing… the Stila Perfecting Concealer (in Shade A, $32). This concealer is extremely thick and is definitely one for the blemishes. I’m bloody excited to give it a whirl.
The last stop on my spontaneous shopping adventure was David Jones (an Australian department store). Here I picked up a small bottle of the Dr Bronner Soap (Peppermint, $3.75 for 59ml) which has 18 uses, one of which happens to be a makeup brush cleaner! And last but most definitely not least, I bought a pair of the award winning Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curlers ($29).
In case you can’t tell, I am so excited to give all of these products a go. Be sure to keep a look out for reviews of each product as they will definitely feature on my blog in the next couple of weeks!
