In August 2013, I embarked on the journey of a lifetime- going to college in the United States and playing NCAA tennis. This was a dream that I had had since about year 10 of high school, and now as I sit in the airport waiting to board my flight from Dallas to Brisbane, I can’t believe my time here has already come to an end.
I could write for hours about everything that has happened whilst being here in America, but I’m sure it would turn this blog post into a book. So, long story short, this was the best experience of my life! I have made some incredible memories that I definitely won’t forget. I have met some of the most amazing people who have made my time here even better than I could have ever imagined. I’m going to miss you all so much! I know it is going to be so strange not seeing y’all (I’m sorry… I had to) every day! Thank you to everyone who has made my experience at college in America so amazing!
I must make a special shout out to the tennis team and my tennis coach here. We have spent the past 10 months together, seeing each other nearly every day. You have made me laugh sooooo much (I think I may have developed abs purely from laughing) and have made this experience 100 times better! I wish you all the best of luck for the future!
Although this makes for my last post in America, do not fear, the blog will continue! I have been accepted into the University of Queensland and will begin studying in late July. So, my blog will forever flourish as I embark on a new journey and y’all (again…I had to) can keep up to date on the happenings of my life. I might start posting some more beauty and lifestyle related posts, so I hope you enjoy!
Goodbye America! You’ve been a blast!
