Firstly, I must apologise, I have been incredibly slack over the last couple of weeks with my blog posts. So in order to make it up to you all, here is a run down of what’s been happening. Let me just tell you, I have been through a lot over the past couple of weeks!
1) So once again snow hit South Carolina, but this time it was bad. It was so bad that it became known as the Snowpocolypse of 2014. In the little state where it is meant to never snow, we ended up getting 6 inches of the fabulous white stuff. The Snowpocalypse did however, allow us to have four wonderful days off class, attempt a 7 person sled and make snow angels. So hey, I’m not complaining.
2) Once the snow melted everyone thought things were to go back to normal here in South Carolina. Oh how we were all so wrong. It was a Thursday night and I was sitting at my desk in my dorm when suddenly the entire building started shaking. I am on the fifth floor of my building too, so it was a little terrifying. Now, I thought I was little tired and just assumed it may have been the wind but low and behold, I was just in a 4.4 Earthquake!! I’m sorry, but seriously South Carolina, what is going on!
3) Putting all natural disasters aside, I have basically spent the entire past couple of weeks playing tennis. Now that our team is in season, we are playing matches 3 days a week and training every other day. It may be exhausting, and all of our bodies may be falling apart but oh my, I love it!
The past couple of weeks have been adventurous in a number of ways, which I am sure you will now understand why. I will try not to be so slack and make sure I keep you updated on everything!
